2025 HorsePlex Renewal Form

Thank you for your support of the HorsePlex on the Stevens County Fairgrounds in Morris. 


If you would like to use the riding arena, please fill out the membership form.  All families that use the HorsePlex must complete the form below.  When you submit the form and payment, you will be given the new code and allowed access until the end of September each year. Codes will be texted and arena updates will be emailed.


In order to cover the cost of the electric bill and to be able to afford more maintenance of the footing and grounds, we will be charging the following membership fees for use of the building:

  • Active Stevens County 4-H enrolled member – no charge (must still return signed waiver) (Note: to be considered active, your current 4-H Online status must be “approved.”)
  • Community Families – $100/year
  • For Open Shows or Non-4-H Events please contact the Fair Board for use of the outdoor arena/whole facility.
  • No charge for individual use of the outdoor arena; however, you are still riding at your own risk.


Here are the basic rules for using the HorsePlex:

  • NO PARKING or horse traffic on the North or West side of the barn. Please park on the east side of the barn and overflow can be in the track outfield. 
  • You are required to clean up after you and your horse before leaving the HorsePlex.  If you are found not to have cleaned up manure, supplies, pens, etc., your membership will be revoked.  This includes manure and hair!
  • No use of tobacco or alcohol products in the 4-H indoor or outdoor arena.
  • Your membership only covers your immediate family; do not give the code or invite non-members to ride in the HorsePlex.  If you are found to be sharing your membership and code, your membership will be revoked without a refund. 
  • From October 1 - May 1, the large garage doors will be locked and not available for use.  Only the regular walk through door will be able to be opened with a code (this is due to repeated damage to the large doors due to ice and force).

Warnings and Rules

Livestock activities pose inherent risks. These dangers or conditions are an integral part of livestock activities, and they include but are not limited to…
1. The propensity of livestock to behave in ways that may result in death or injury to persons on or around them, such as kicking, biting or bucking;
2. The unpredictability of livestock’s reaction to things like sound, sudden movement, unfamiliar objects, persons, or other animals;
3. Natural hazards such as surface or subsurface conditions; or 
4. Collisions with other livestock or objects.

The Stevens County Agricultural Society (Fair Board) and persons donating services, livestock, facilities, or equipment for use, are immune from liability to participants in livestock activities resulting from these inherent risks pursuant to Minn. Stat. & 694a.12.

Those who participate do so at their own risk and should take all necessary precautions to ensure their own safety and the safety of others.

As a user of the HorsePlex:
* I will use every effort to do my part to keep the area clean and neat.
* When I leave the area, I will make sure that I have closed and locked all doors, shut off all electrical and put back all supplies taken out. 
* I will also clean up any manure or mess made while I used the grounds. 
* I will not use tobacco or alcohol in the 4-H arenas.
* I will at NO time ever park any type of trailer or take any horse on the west side of the building or in the area from the tar path to County Rd. 22.  (Please park between the indoor and outdoor arena or to the east of the outdoor arena.)
* I WILL NOT GIVE THIS CODE OUT TO ANYONE, or you will lose all your rights to use the building.  I understand the membership only applies to my immediate family.

I have read and understand the use of the grounds and all the risks involved. The code will be good from October 1 each year; this is an annual membership and will need to be renewed each year.  You will receive an text with the code once we receive your completed form and payment.
